What Is Art Therapy?

Art therapy is a type of therapy that is conducted with an art therapist and utilizes different art mediums (crayons, markers, paints, etc), to express and manage different emotions. The role of the art therapist is to guide the client in the expressive process. Art Therapy can be done individually or in a group setting and with various populations.

You are invited to engage in the therapeutic process of art therapy in a group setting led by registered Art Therapist Naarah Macklin, ATR, LMHC. In this group you will manage depression, anxiety, trauma, life stressors, better understand emotions, and connect with others in a group setting. A variety of art materials will be provided for use.

Group is open for adults 18+

No prior art experience necessary, just need to have an interest in working in a group setting with others, using art as an outlet, and an interest in creative expression!
